Welcome to All Saints-by-the-Sea

All Saints has enjoyed more than a century of ministry to our community, serving with exceptional worship, education, and outreach. Many regard our church building, with its stained glass windows, craftsman architecture, and location just yards from the beach as one of the loveliest on the Central Coast. We believe that the building reflects the spirit of the people who worship in it. As well as a remarkable building, God has blessed us with remarkable members. We have legacy of gifts we mean to share with all whom we meet in order to further establish the Kingdom of God. If you are traveling through our community or searching for a church home, you are warmly invited to worship with us and learn more about All Saints. Please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail and we will be delighted to give you more information. Our phone number is 805.969.4771, or email us at info@allsaintsbythesea.org.

StoryFaire, Sunday, May 18th from 2 to 5 p.m.
All Saints will be the setting for the second annual StoryFaire, a literacy event, party, and fundraiser benefiting Storyteller Children’s Center. Storyteller provides top-quality early childhood education and care for homeless and at-risk children, as well as support and counseling for their parents. Now in two locations in downtown Santa Barbara, Storyteller offers an essential ministry to children in need. StoryFaire `08 will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 18th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Children of all ages are most cordially invited to attend. Six children’s book authors will be presenting and signing their books on that day, with Chaucer’s Bookshop donating 20% to the cause. Among the authors will be All Saints parishioner and StoryFaire founder, Marni McGee, who will sign her new book, SILLY GOOSE . . . dressed as a goose with a white feather coat and bright orange legs. To offset that rather unsettling sight, there will be free ice cream, balloons, raffle, art stations, raffle baskets, and a silent auction.
If you’d like to help, please contact the nearest Goose! Marni McGee, marni4kids@cox.net

CFI (Congregation Formation Initiative): We believe the Church calls us to be a community of disciples which will bear embodied witness to Jesus Christ, not least by being formed more and more into the image of Christ. Every Sunday night from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, a group of people meet to work on such formation.

Announcing – EVENTIDE AND SUPPER at All Saints-by-the-Sea
Celebrate the Office of Evening Prayer at 6:00 p.m. in the church. The format will be simple, prayerful, casual, unique and intentional. Following each service, a simple meal will be offered, reminding us of Christ’s sharing of himself around a communal table. Our worship together will be marked by elements of the ancient evening Office which has been shared by Christians since the 1st century including incense, extended silence, simple unaccompanied song, canticles for the evening, shared reflection and fellowship.
Join us each Wednesday in a time of mid-week spiritual renewal.

Outreach Fundraiser: Used Ink Jet Cartridges and Cell Phones
Save your used ink jet cartridges and old cell phones for All Saints. Cartridges equal $2 each and cell phones equal $4 each which go to All Saints Outreach Program. This is an on-going fundraiser. A drop box is located at the Welcome Table, or you may drop them by the church office. Thank you!
