The
Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Bullock, Rector
 |
The
Rev. Jeffrey Bullock serves as the seventh rector in the history
of All Saints-by-the-Sea. With 24 years of experience in the ministry,
the Rev. Bullock brings to his position of rector a passion for
good worship and good education for adults and children alike.
He and his wife, Nancy, work diligently to embrace the people
of the parish and, at the same time, involve the surrounding community.
Outreach locally, nationally, and internationally are extremely
important to the Bullocks who are also active in The Ekklesia
Project. Father Jeff, as the preschool children call him, leads
them in worship, teaches a variety of Bible studies to the congregation,
and preaches. He has a continuing interest in scholarship, having
earned both a Doctor of Ministry degree and an honorary Doctor
of Divinity degree. A published author, he has also served as
a Lily Fellow and as a Fellow of the Center of Theological Inquiry
at Princeton University. He and his wife share 4 children and
2 dogs. He is an avid road cyclist who also enjoys swimming and
attempting to surf the Pacific Ocean. He counts most important
in his life a joyful celebration of the loving care of God in
Christ. |
The Rev. Elizabeth Hendrick, Associate Rector

Liz hails from Central Florida, although growing up with a career Air Force father means she has lived in many places, including England and France. Liz attended seminary in Austin, Texas following a career of over twenty years in sales, marketing and business planning in the medical diagnostics industry. In addition to the Master of Divinity degree, Liz holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Rollins College and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida.
A “cradle” Episcopalian, Liz’s involvement in the church goes back two generations to her maternal grandmother, and Liz’s areas of ministry included choir, lector, Eucharistic visitor, vestry, adult and youth education teacher and youth ministry assistant.
Liz enjoys all areas of ministry, but especially participating in lively discussions around interpretation of scripture, and community involvement. Liz also enjoys photography, traveling, golf, and taking long walks with her golden retriever, PJ. |
The
Rev. Ann Symington, Deacon
The Rev. Ann
Symington is the vocational deacon at All Saints-by-the-Sea. She
graduated from Scripps College in Claremont, CA with a B.A. in
Psychology and a minor in Humanities. She received a multiple
subjects teaching credential from San Francisco State University.
Returning to her hometown of Phoenix, AZ she taught second grade.
In 1976 she married Fife Symington. They have five children and
three grandchildren. Ann has been a community volunteer in many
areas over the past thirty years but her love is working with
children. She was ordained in October, 2002, in the Diocese of
Arizona and is licensed there and in the Diocese of Los Angeles.
Deacon Symington assists at Sunday worship services. Her other
church interests include the Sunday School and the All Saints
Preschool. Being fairly new to Santa Barbara, she looks forward
to finding ways to serve in the community. |
Robbie Boyd, Parish
Administrator
Robbie
Boyd is a British émigré from Belfast, Northern
Ireland. Brought up in the Church of Ireland, he came to America
late in 2007 with his Santa Barbara native wife, Megan. Having
met in Belfast in 2003, they married in 2005 while Robbie finished
a Batchelor of Theology degree at Queens University, Belfast.
Robbie has been Parish Administrator since early 2008, and his daughter Daisy, was born in December 2009

Tina Coffin, Newcomer
Coordinator
Tina was born
in New Orleans and grew up in St. Louis. She attended Mount Vernon
Junior college, holds a BA degree from Sacred Heart University
and the MSW degree from Columbia University, NYC. She lived in
Darien and
Greenwich, CT for 35 years where she was a Hospice Social Worker
for 16 years and an avid golfer. Tina is a lifelong Episcopalian
who has been active in 4 parishes. She and her husband Dwight
have 3 grown sons and 5
grandchildren. They retired to Santa Barbara in 2003. Tina is
a Council Compeer at the Music Academy of the West, a CERT volunteer
at MERRAG (Montecito Emergency Response and Recovery Action Group)
and was a member of the Board of the Santa Barbara Newcomers Club. |
Anne Hopkinson,
Events Coordinator
Anne Hopkinson is British by birth, brought up
in the Anglican Church. After living in Australia in the 1960s,
she came to America in 1968 and lived in Los Gatos, in the San
Francisco Bay Area for 25 years before coming to Santa Barbara.
She joined All Saints-by-the-Sea two weeks after her arrival
in Santa Barbara in 1994 and, after working in many All Saints
volunteer programs, she was asked to join the staff in 1996
as Receptionist/Parish Secretary. Her great joy is to greet
people, answer their many questions and steer them in the right
direction, especially into All Saints volunteer ministries
to help All Saints-by-the-Sea to grow. She takes great pride
in her husband and family of four children, four stepchildren
and ten grandchildren who are scattered far and wide.

Leslie
Huber, Family Ministries
Leslie
Huber was born in Rhode Island but has lived most of her life
in Southern California. While growing up, her family was always
active in the Episcopal Church. After graduating from the University
of California at Santa Barbara and earning a masters degree
in education, she taught mathematics in local secondary schools.
In 1982 she and her husband Jack and their young daughters, Emily
and Katie, became members of All Saints-by-the-Sea. Four years
later Leslie was invited to serve on the church staff as a Sunday
School coordinator. She is currently part of the family ministry
staff, sharing the responsibility for childrens ministry.
Leslie enjoys spending time with her family, making music, traveling,
and camping. She loves being with children, and it is her passion
that children experience Gods love and grace at All Saints-by-the-Sea. |
Temmo Korisheli,
Associate Music Director
 |
A Santa Barbara
native, Temmo Korisheli grew up in Morro Bay. Following undergraduate
studies in chemistry and music here at UCSB and at the University
of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he earned the master's
and candidate in philosophy degrees at UCSB in historical musicology.
Having served All Saints' since 1991 as tenor section leader,
assistant choir director, interim music director and organist,
and music director, Temmo is currently the parish's Associate
Music Director, assisting Steve O'Connor. He is a frequent performer,
both locally and nationally, in many musical styles including
early music, choral music, Middle Eastern, old-timey/Americana,
and opera. In addition to his work at All Saints', he is a supervisor
and cataloguer in the UCSB Music Library and serves on the staff
of the Amherst Early Music Festival in New England each summer.
Temmo is a boardmember-at-large of the American Guild of Organists,
Santa Barbara chapter. |
Steve
O'Connor, Director of Music Ministries
 |
Steve O'Connor is the Director of Music Ministries at All Saints-by-the-Sea
. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance degree, Arizona State
University and a Master of Music Performance degree, California
State University - Northridge.
Steve is an accomplished pianist, organist, singer and conductor,
having studied with Warren Hoffer (Eastman School), Gerald Doan
(The Julliard School), Carl Bertram Swanson (Northwestern University),
and Timothy Howard (Westminster Choir College and the Univ. of
Southern Calif).
His experience includes over 20 years as a church music director,
accompanist and organist. Before coming to All Saints in 2007,
he most recently served as Director of Music and Liturgy at St.
Patrick's Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks, organist and accompanist
at Camarillo United Methodist Church, Holy Cross Roman Catholic
Church, St. Peter Claver Roman Catholic Church, and Simi Valley
Presbyterian Church. He has held positions with First Lutheran
Church, Phoenix, Az., St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church,
Scottsdale, Az., and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Nogales,
Az.
Steve has performed extensively in the U.S. as well as in Europe,
as a recitalist and conductor. He has several recordings to his
credit and is the Executive Director of Conejo Camerata, a professional
chamber ensemble. Steve has held several elected positions with
the American Guild of Organists. He is an active composer and
member of ASCAP. |
Carlos
Ruano, Sexton
Carlos
began in maintenance at All Saints-by-the-Sea in November, 2005.
His prior work includes seven years with Casa Dorinda maintenance
department. He has lived in California since 1983 when he moved
from Guatemala where he worked as a cowboy on his family ranch.
He has two adult children and five grandchildren.

Alexandra Smith, Youth Director
Alex was born in Connecticut raised in the Episcopal Church. At St. Paul's in Fairfield, CT, Alex was considered a fixture at the altar serving as head acolyte, crucifer, reader, chalice bearer and an active member of the junior high and high school youth ministries. Alex attended the University of San Diego and graduated with a B.A. in English and Leadership Studies. While in college, Alex continued her work with young people as a Resident Assistant in the residence halls on campus.
Alex moved to Santa Barbara and began her involvement with All Saints after spending eight months living in London, England.
Alex loves to travel, volunteer, read and visit the Farmer's Market on her bike. You can find Alex in the choir on Sunday mornings.
